Staniewski won Boy Prize

Włodzimierz Staniewski, creator of the theater and the center Gardzienice, received from the hands of Vice-president ot the International Association of Theatre Critics (IATC / AICT), President of the Polish section of IATC / AICT, Dr. Tomasz Miłkowski the annual trophy awarded since 1957 by Polish section – Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński Prize for outstanding contribution to the art of theater.

 

The ceremony took place on 20 June in Stanisławowski Theatre before the performance Gardzienice Theatre „Pythian Oratorio” by Włodzimierz Staniewski that graced the opening ceremony of the Royal Sculpture Gallery in the Old Orangery in Warsaw. The Winner received a commemorative diploma and a commemorative artwork by Janusz Golik. After the show Staniewski met with a group of members of the Association and students of the Faculty of Artes Liberales University of Warsaw.

The ceremony was attended by Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and the First Lady and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage prof. Margaret Omilanowska.
