Critical Stages nr 26 dostępny w sieci!

I am really happy to announce that the winter Issue no 26  (2022) of Critical Stages/Scènes Critiques, (www.critical-stages.org) has been published just in time for your New Year’s reading pleasure.  58  works, signed by 75 contributors from 27 countries (Nigeria, Taiwan, Australia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, U.S, South Korea, Malta, Martinique, England, India, Greece, Italy, among many others); 13 co-authored works.  50  women and 25 men, among them scholars, artists, activists, experimentalists, directors, theoreticians, reviewers/critics, performers, scenographers, playwrights, and PhD candidates. One more contribution will be added to the Table of Contents in the next 7 days. That would bring the total of published works to 59. Not bad, not bad at all considering the amount of work required to bring all this to public attention. Thank you Don, Yana, and Matti, for spending, once again, precious time to see this come to life. Working with you is a real pleasure. I feel so lucky to have two hard working and knowledgeable scholars, VIcky and Elizabeth, as guest editors of the special topic of this issue, Theatre & Ecology. Their final selection of papers, out of about 80 submitted proposals, is a significant contribution to a rapidly growing scholarship.,
What makes this issue stand out as different from all previous ones is the fact that  it offers, for the first time, two unpublished original dramatic texts: the first play, Town Hall, by renowned playwright Caridad Svich, is related to the ecological theme of the current issue; the second play, Crime/#AlwaysArmUkraine, by Asya Voloshina] (pen name Ester Bol), is related to the war in the Ukraine.
PLease help spread the word. Let friends and colleagues know that the latest issue is now available online for free. Also let them know that our doors are open to all. Our journal offers  space to reflect on live art, crossings, borders, intersections, imaginary and realistic (im)possibilities.
STAY TUNED FOR MORE. The special issue of Germani/ic Theatre(s) is on its way (June 2023).

Thank you all, ExCom and BOard members, for being so supportive. Attached is the banner for those of you who would like to post it somewhere and help promote its circulation.

I wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year
