Nie żyje Juan Antonio Hormigón, wybitny krytyk hiszpański, tłumacz i wieloletni redaktor pisma ADE-Teatro, wielki admirator twórczości Sławomira Mrożka. Przez wiele lat przewodniczył hiszpańskiej sekcji AICTMiędzynarodowe Stowarzyszenie Krytyków Teatralnych (Associ... More, aktywnie uczestniczył w Kongresach, z uporem walczył o wysokie standardy etyczne pracy krytyków. To m.in. jego cierpliwości zawdzięczamy powstanie tzw. kodeksu zasad krytyki teatralnej, wcześniej i bardziej szczegółowo opracowanych przez kolegów w Hiszpanii pod Jego przewodnictwem. Z zasady niepokorny, krytyczny, czasem zawadzał swoją nieugiętością i twardym stanowiskiem, zawsze jednak w obronie zasad, a nie partykularnych interesów. Wielka strata europejskiego świata teatru. C’est avec tristesse que nous avons appris le décès de Juan Antonio Hormigón, directeur de l’ADE, qui est la section espagnole de l’AICT. Juan Antonio a déjà siégé au comité exécutif de l’AICT, et il prenait régulièrement part à nos congrès. Ses impressionnantes connaissances du théâtre et de la critique, autant que l’énergie qu’il a mise à fonder et à construire l’ADE ainsi que sa revue ADE-Teatro, ont suscité une plus forte présence de la critique de théâtre dans le monde hispanophone. Juan Antonio était encore là, à Saint-Pétersbourg en novembre 2018, à l’occasion de notre 29e Congrès mondial et de la remise du Prix Europe pour le théâtre. Nos condoléances les plus vives à sa famille et à ses amis.

We have learned with sadness of the passing of Juan Antonio Hormigón, director of ADE, the Spanish section of the IATC. Juan Antonio was a former member of the IATC executive committee, and he regularly took part in our congresses. His knowledge of theatre and criticism was profound and his active work to create and build ADE, and its journal ADE-Teatro, led to a stronger presence of theatre criticism in the Hispanic world. He was present in St. Petersburg in November 2018, for our 29th World Congress and the Europe Theatre Prize event. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
